I wish Kate was coming to Cardiff, I could fall for Ms Walsh, I just love her voice. The melancholy delivery and lyrics abound throughout her debut album 'Tim's House' and 'Don't Break My Heart' is a worthy third single, the follow-up to two superb singles 'Tonight' and 'Your Song' released last year.

Sleep Through The Static new album 4 February
Well it's number one for two weeks now, and mellow Jack is in big demand. A mellow affair throughout, ideal to snog too. Of the fifteen well worthy tracks featured the more uptempo numbers include Track 3, the low key but reggaed up 'Hope', 'If I Had Eyes' and the bonus track the accoustic 'Home'. It's very mellow and yes number one for a second week, I think people like snogging to it

You Cross My Path new album in March
I'm not sure whether the distribution deal with Xfm is a help or a hindrance, I find it a puzzling move. I'm not so keen on title track 'You Cross My Path' but 'Mis-takes' is an atmospheric intricacy with some interesting sound experimenting. Single 'Oh Vanity' is a thumper, 44 second intro 'When I was a little child ...' kind of reminiscent of 'Weirdo'. I do rather like the stripped back 'Bad Days' just bass and vocal on the intro, a little high hat whets your appetitite for the song while 'This Is The End' is a crescendo of cool. There's not really a 'The Only One I Know' or 'One To Another' here but this should make for plenty of happy Charlatans fans

Well these guys are very similar to their tour mates Los Campesinos who are very well loved in Cardiff ... With the unusual title 'Our Bipolar Friends', I'm inclined to think this frantic tune is heading to our radio's and will be rather large

Johnny Flynn doesn't mess around, this accoustic flavoured single makes an immediate impression, a jaunty uptempo number with a tale of 'Leftovers' .. somewhere between The Pogues and Nick Drake ... 'Show me the way to the rubbish dump.. give me a dime for the bacon rhind'. Yeh a little surreal but I'd tip Johnny & His Sussex Wit to be big

She's well hot and 'Merry Happy' should take Ms nash into the Top 40 for a fourth time

I like the incredible vocal arrangements and the authentic almost accoustic feel of bass, guitar and drums .. the off-key works to good effect and this stands out from the pack. Track 2 'Ringtone Advertising Director' is another hectic affair before the bizarre and mellow 'Showroom Furniture'. Chart chance

Catchy tune well up to Jimmy Eat World standard, maybe a little predictable but should please their fans

I like lambasting politicians and where The Jam and Pistols went before here come Hey Gravity. Two great tracks here 'Slipping Through The Cracks' and 'Wake Up', superb interaction on the two femme three boy vocals... great I hope it hits

I really like this it's an excellent record, probably to good too go but then again... these endearing harmonies and lyrics should win unexpected airplay and this band deserve a hit with this
