Much jubilation at ITV as their charity record by X-Factor Finalists helped give BBC's Children In Need it's first target defeat in thirty years.
Children In Need has so far raised less than at this time last year and the out-manouvered BBC released Peter Kays charity record on Saturday, with just one days sales to count thereby conceding like for like defeat with X-Factor.
However with a full week of sales ahead, the Kay man could be set up for a number one next week, then again the new Children In Need medley is no 'Amarillo'.
A good question is what happens to the extra dosh you'd spend on the X-Factor charity single?
With most CD singles costing £1 or £2 why does only £1 of the £4 purchase price of the X-Factor CD single go to charity??
Surely it's not Cowell Aid ... don't hold your breath waiting for a comprehensible answer.

Welsh TV News???

Shame on Welsh TV news not mentioning Dean Holdsworth's Newport County. With seventeen games played they've conceded only eight goals - the joint strongest defence (with Leeds United) in the seven top leagues in English and Welsh soccer. County lead the Blue Square Conference South table by eight points with a game in hand on second placed Dover. Both Newport & Wrexham will be relishing the prospect of the return of another old skool Welsh derby next season.
