"There's no place to hide mate so kiss your ass goodbye mate ... " A hearty collaboration between much requested Billy Talent and Pittsburgh anti-establishment punks Anti Flag has resulted in the chunky and well worthy 134bpm 'Turn Your Back'. Out exclusively on i-tunes only for two weeks from 15 September all royalties will be donated to the Red Cross charity campaign. Billy Talent fans look out, they start recording their third album with AC/DC, Offspring and Incubus producer Brendan O'Brien in November.

They've gone from strength to strength since their sell out show at Cardiff Barfly Mad4it last December. 'Not Nineteen Forever' their biggest song to date, should easily find Top Twenty follow-up success with 'That Kiss x'.

"In the heavy heavy heat of the afternoon..." if only our weather was that predictable. Sadly, it's been proverbiallying it down and catchy as this semi punky type pop tune is, that's probably a major weakness in it's chart attack. Even so The Maybes? show promise

Hotly tipped Mancunians 1913 release their debut on Mon 22 sept and the launch party is top two days later. well nearly top anyway, 23 floors up in the Beetham Tower @ Cloud 23 in The Hilton Hotel. This is a fuine tune rippling rather towards Fools Gold than Cigs & Alcohol although around the same lazy stomping 116bpm. One to watch

Can't wait to hear Radio 2 show gal Sarah Kennedy's reaction to this, her 'Oh no not this again' on hearing 'Dry Your Eyes' fade in was really a P45 moment but alas one rule for them and one rule for us. 'Everything Is Borrowed' is another mellow reserved 84bpm series of observations from Mr Skinner, cleverly chiselled lyrics which should see our Mike in the light of top ten action again

Another big tune for The Ting Tings pulling in at 149bpm duration 2'50". Perhaps not quite as catchy as their three single chart hits so far but they're the hot at the to trot right now so long may they continue
