This album project is a superb genre defying mash up of influences kicking of with Snow Patrol's 'Wow' set to an electro backbeat, and as with the whole album it works extra-ordinarily well. Think 'Black Crowes meets Aerosmith meets Led Zeppelin', in fact the album has been mixed by Kevin Shirley of Aerosmith & Zep fame. With cross-over appeal this is one to watch. Rush released to coincide with the success of the title track Denver four piece The Fray have scored a real quality listen here. Somewhat reminscent of the Ben Folds Five, jaunty melodies and thoughtful lyrics are underpinned with a back to basics production, piano, drums, guitar and very strong vocals. Bristol based Fortune Drive are set to release new single 'Sparkle' on 7", CD and digital formats. Produced by Robot Club, 'Sparkle' was remixed by Dave Bascombe of Tears For Fears fame.
