Son of legendary Roy Harper, Nick Harper's debut, 'Whatever Happened To Jugula?' was released in 1983. Nick supported Squeeze front man Glenn Tilbrook who was so impressed that he offered Nick a job in Squeeze and signed Nick to his label, Quixotic. Appearances in New York and Glastonbury confirmed Nick Harper as a formidable talent in his own right.

Nick played a brilliant set to a full house and if time allowed he would have been on a fourth encore. If ever you wonder what it is that record company moguls refer to as "it" - Nick Harper has it in abundance. Love and devotion in action. I remember being chastized by BBC Wales bloke and former Pop Starlet in waiting Alan Thompson who "no longer had to carry his own bags and equipment". His eyes would have popped out here watching Nick Harper - established for twenty years - assemble and disassemble his equipment and carry it to his car himself - a true one man band. We do it for love Alan!!!
