For us this was a great show and whatever 'it' is these Steel City guys have got it ...... a bizarre collision of in your face, take it or leave it, make up, catchy pop, disco beats and guitar treats, PINK GREASE - the future sound of yesterday, the present sound of NOW? Some say they are neo-glam lo-fi electro sleaze-rock outfit for the twenty-first century, complete with their crazed engineering genius armed with his highly dangerous home-made, scratch-built synthesizer which can destroy PA systems in seconds.
Once you take these six diverse and argumentative characters and add liberal dollops of grease paint, dubious preferences for extremely colourful mohair jumpers, trousers that nearly fall off by the third song and chaotic appearances by the scary girl Greasettes on backing vocals audiences are left either speechless or giggling (or in the dressing room). Their live performances are already notorious and this was no exception - high energy and in your face! There is a rush of excitement as the band veer from full-on guitar anarchy to sleazy cabaret MC'd by 'James Brown'!

Their new single "The Pink G-R-Ease" is out on June 14, so different from anything else at the moment - we really hope it hits .. Top 10!

Speedway Singer & Paisley Girl Jill Jackson hangs around to sign stuff for fans. It was a difficult gig with it being FA Cup Final Eve. Speedway are signed to the same label as Blue and Atomic Kitten and their being packaged for under-18's which makes the transition to Indie credibility a little more difficult, still The Party's In The Park are coming!
