Versus - Ben James & Chris Collins formed a band in Pontypridd in 1999, sometime later joining up with Adam Turbervill, Ryan Yoxall & Tom Evans to emulate their musical gurus - Pink Floyd, Sigur Ross, Doves, Elbow, Grandaddy .. Over the last two years Versus have released a couple of EPs (under the name of Watershed) as part of Boobytrap Records Single of the Month club, that are now as rare as rocking horse shit. A Radio One Session in Wales in April 2003 again as Watershed brought them to a wider audience.
Support came from 22 year old Cheltenham born Si Connelly, signed to Chrysalis Publishing and about to release his first album 'This Is The Plan'.

Ari-Up is pictured above from the sleeve of The Slits 'Cut' Album. Support Captain Paranoid
The legendary Ari-Up and her band the Slits created Peel pleasing Punk outrage in 1979 with this sleeve on their Cut album. Typical Girls very nearly gave The Slits a Top 40 hit and here we are sampling Ari-Up '05 style. Typical Girls with it's Jamaican rhythms all punked up still works a treat and I bet Marvin Gaye loves 'I Heard It Through The Bassline' (sic).
