ORDINARY BOYS - WILL BE BOYS
new single 6 Jun

I'm a massive Ordinary Boys fan, Talk Talk Talk, Maybe Someday, the entire debut album is classic. Now on the way to their second album comes this first taster, a 2 minute single leaning towards The Specials rather more than The Jam - Top Five, hell Number One I hope!!! THE B52's - WHAMMY REMIX EP
new 12" Vinyl EP 23 May

Ten year's before Love Shack, Roam and The Flintstones came Rock Lobster, Planet Claire, and Give Me Back My Man - The B52's heralding the post punk new wave, and now a series of limited edition twelve inch vinyl will unleash the madness again. First is the Whammy remix selection with Riton, Master Tweaks (Lionrock), electro remixer's Chris Smith and Phil Larson aka MHC.This is well worth a go and Kate Piersen's loveerrrly, try Song For A New Generation - it still sounds like it was made in 2010! BRITISH SEA POWER - PLEASE STAND UP
new single 23 May

BSP have finally cracked Asda's Top Twenty, that means more sales and they deserve it with their new Open Season album. Shorter, sharper, more rounded and fine tuned a great set of songs with little over indulgence. Please Stand Up is a fine follow up to Oily, this should see BSP in the Top Ten XXXXx www.britishseapower.co.uk

THE TENDERFOOT - COWBELL BLUES
new single 30 May

This is a blimmin excellent record. Comparisons will be made with the Coldplay, Embrace, Athlete stable and quite rightly. However this has a very unusual arrangement, a stocato verse, a haunting lyric and melody and should have no problem attracting mainstream airplay. I very much hope it's a bit hit. TOM McRAE - THE GIRL WHO FALLS DOWNSTAIRS
new single 6 Jun

Tom McRae has tirelessly toured the toilet circuit over the las couple of years, and it's a bout to pay off. His new album is in the Top 50 and this single should be heading for the Top 40. A pleasant enough offereing with a sublime title, file under easy listening with an edge. XXX www.tommcrae.com

ALEC EMPIRE - KISS OF DEATH
new single 23 May

The end of Rock & Roll??? Far from it, Alec plunders on with no sign of losing any steam. This chunky roll and roll shout and screacher, Alec's most commercial offering yet may break the Top 40. XXXx www.alecempire.com

QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE -
IN MY HEAD
new single ? May

Everybody Knows They're Insane or is it In My Head which will be the new single out in May, either one will do fine but how about the Lullabies album Bonus Track 'Like A Drug' for a sneaky atmospheric Summer Hit. XXXX www.qotsa.com

PLANT LIFE - THE LAST SONG
new single 30 May

These guys are crazy, the new Outkast. There are thirteen tracks on this single, and only two songs. Yep twelve tracks are differing mixes of The Last Song, some clean - some dirty (with the F- word). Plant Life have a distinctly almost humourously aggressive vocal style, an attack to their delivery, great instrumentation and arrangement - if anything bad can be said about this it may be that there is just too much to take in, all the same it's brilliant XXXXx www.plant-life.net

THE CORAL - THE INVISIBLE INVASION
new album 23 May

The Invisible Invasion is going to be a massive hit album this Summer. In TheMorning, the first single should easily go Top Ten and judging by this sampler there are plenty more tracks for singles to follow. Try Something Inside Of Me, or She Sings In The Mourning for instance, simple 60's style production relying on strength of melodies to get the melodies and messages over. Refreshingly basic and works a treat XXXXx www.thecoral.co.uk

THE TEARS - REFUGEES
new single out now

This is Suede isn't it? Bernard and Brett reunited, what a shame they argued and split the band all them year's ago, this could be a Suede record albeit Too Much Too Little Too Late, still as long as they're having fun ... XXX www.thetears.org/

TEAM SLEEP - EVER (FOREIGN FLAG)
new single 9 May

Team Sleep, a bizarre name but interesting nevertheless. Signed to Madonna's Maverick label and she wasn't wrong with Alanis Morrisette. Chino Morino and Todd Wilkinson teamed up with DJ Crook from Sacremento and Los Angeles, in 03 their 'Passportal' was featured on the 'Matrix Reloaded' Soundtrack - from that you'll guess that this is pretty standard, US rock, expertly written and at 2'30" quite an interesting proposition for a medium paced mystery song with a strange title, file with the good stuff!
